Twilight in Budapest

Wherever you stop along its 1,700-mile course, there's nothing quite like the blue Danube at blue hour. Here we see the Hungarian Parliament Building aglow on the banks of the city of Budapest, with the river delineating the eastern city sector known as Pest. Buda, meanwhile, is the woody western region that lies off to our left, with the Széchenyi Chain Bridge (illuminated in the foreground) leading the way. Buda merged with Pest in 1873 to form the bulk of Budapest, becoming Hungary's capital and largest city by far.
