Sleeping giants?

As the rains of Spain fall on the plain, stone giants form fearsome ranks on a scrubby ridge. Just ask Don Quixote, the famous fictional figure and La Mancha native, who overzealously challenged them in Cervantes' novel. Literary delusions aside, these windmills hardly pose a monstrous threat, especially considering they've been decommissioned since the 1980s. With some of them dating back to the 16th century, a dozen mills share this high perch with an even older structure: the medieval castle of La Muela.
