The Costa Brava's dynamic clash of land and sea is not only inspiring to filmmakers, it offers countless natural backdrops, from sun-bathed castles to charming cityscapes to rugged shores. Since moviemaking became tradition here in the 1910s, international directors drawn to the Costa Brava have included Orson Welles, Jane Campion, Ridley Scott, and many more.
