Talk about watercolors
It's hard to believe such a colorful scene can result from something as simple as swirling sediment and saltwater. This Pollock-esque splatter of azures and ochres comes to us from the salty shallows of Lake Yarışlı in Türkiye (appropriately, the country that gave the color turquoise its name). This part of southwestern Türkiye is known as the Lakes Region, and includes well over a dozen tectonic lakes known for brilliant blue hues.
