From the middle of September to the middle of October, over 400,000 visitors travel to Canberra each year to witness the beauty of Floriade - the country’s biggest celebration of spring. Featuring a sea of blossoming flowers around Commonwealth Park, the flower festival showcases more than a million blooms each year – earning itself the title of the largest flower festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

Celebrating its 32nd anniversary, Floriade 2019 will once again offer a diverse range of cultural celebrations, horticultural workshops and market traders. At night, the space also becomes alive, as crowds gather during sunset to watch the flowers become illuminated in a wonder of lights, alongside entertainment, musical performances and food stalls. The best part is that visitors can attend festivities for free, making it a perfect way to enjoy the new season.
