Autumn colours in Cheshire
The autumn equinox is here and we’re taking a trip to the North West of England. Cheshire hosts plenty of open fields and forests, where the autumn colour may make you want to pretend you’re in some charming period drama. You do that too, right? The county is also the birthplace of Lewis Carroll, who was born and raised in the picturesque village of Daresbury. The Cheshire Cat was popularised by Carroll in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland but the cat wasn’t invented by the writer. Though the phrase 'grinning like a Cheshire cat' has multiple origins, at least two ideas support the cheese angle. That is, cats love milk and the dairy industry in Cheshire is well known.
