Cierva Cove on the Antarctic Peninsula
Just looking at this photo makes us cold. However, the Antarctic Peninsula is the warmest part of the frozen south, with summer fast approaching when the temperature averages 1 to 2 °C. But come June, when the southern hemisphere is plunged into winter, the daily high here in Cierva Cove averages around -10 °C. Brrrrr!
