What's so funny?. World Laughter Day
Everyone loves a good laugh, but did you know that laughing also has great health benefits? Get ready to laugh it up today, because it’s World Laughter Day, celebrated every first Sunday in May. This holiday is intended to increase public knowledge of the benefits of laughing for both physical and emotional health. The feeling of a good laugh is well-depicted in today's image of a grey seal pup with a wide smile. Some studies have shown that laughing can boost the immune system, elevate mood, and reduce pain. It turns out the old adage is true—laughter is the best medicine.
