Where is this majestic museum?. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
If you’re ever in Spain, you’ll want to make the trip up to the northern coast. That’s where you’ll find the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. It’s widely acclaimed around the world, but not just for its exhibitions. The museum is primarily known for its ground-breaking contemporary architecture. It opened in 1997 and to this day architecture experts list it as one of the most important buildings of our time. Frank Gehry, a Canadian American architect, was tasked with designing something “daring and innovative,” and he sure succeeded.
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao helps boost the city’s economy as tourists and travellers stop by to catch a glimpse of the structure. In fact, “The Bilbao effect” now refers to an economic upturn for cities after investing in cultural works and attractions.
