Info. Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park
Today we're visiting Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, which is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you will find towering peaks, glistening lakes, gleaming glaciers and alpine meadows. The park is located around Mount Assiniboine, a pyramidal peak on the Continental Divide of the Americas, on the border between British Columbia and Alberta in Canada. At an elevation of 3,618 metres, the mountain is nicknamed the “Matterhorn of the Rockies” because of its resemblance to the Matterhorn in the Alps.
