Vancouver’s first park
Established since 1887, Stanley Park is Vancouver’s oldest park. With approximately eight million annual visitors, this park is easily the city’s jewel attraction. Within the park, there are several activities for varied ages and interests. For a family-friendly experience, the Stanley Park Miniature Railway winds through two kilometres of scenery through the forest. For an educational experience, there is the Stanley Park Ecology Society and for a visual treat, the park is home to Canada’s largest aquarium – The Vancouver Aquarium. With flourishing botanical gardens, pristine beaches and a network of paved hiking trails, Stanley Park offers a tranquil oasis in the city.
