Heart of the wildlife corridor
Here we are at McIntyre Creek, a wildlife corridor that goes through the city of Whitehorse. What was once an area of glacial meltwater is now a highly valued wilderness and recreational area. The creek offers several trails that include views of the city, surrounding mountains, meadows and wildlife of course. The range of landscapes and vegetation provide habitat for various species. Over the years it has become a popular destination for bird watchers thanks to the volume of diverse bird species that can be spotted here.
