Getting lost in Mazezilla
Welcome to Mazezilla! This 11-acre corn maze in the US state of Pennsylvania boasts a different design each autumn. Don't worry, if you take a wrong turn, you won't be lost forever. 'Corn helpers' are scattered throughout the maze to help confused visitors find their way out again, and 'tower people' keep a watchful eye over the whole thing. This year, visitors will be wearing masks and staying well apart, but organisers are promising a 'spooktacular 2020'.
While mazes and labyrinths date back more than 4,000 years, the first modern corn maze was created in Annville, Pennsylvania, in 1993. It was constructed on three acres of land and was named the world’s largest corn maze by the Guinness Book of World Records. The current record for largest corn maze is held by Cool Patch Pumpkins for their 60-acre maze in Dixon, California in 2014.
