Crystal cathedral of commerce
Today, we’re admiring the details of the Allen Lambert Galleria located in Brookfield Place in Toronto. Given its location in the city’s financial district, the galleria is also known as the crystal cathedral of commerce. It was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava as part of an international competition held to comply with the City of Toronto’s public art requirement. The vaulted ceiling is Calatrava’s signature style and the Allen Lambert Galleria in particular in undoubtedly among the most photographed spots in Ontario’s capital city.
