A sunrise like no other

What a beautiful view to welcome in the new year! Today’s serene scene is Mount Fuji, long a destination for pilgrims, poets and artists. Often pictured capped in snow, the volcano is also Japan's highest peak at 3,776m (12,388ft) and is a registered Unesco World Heritage site.

So whether you’re getting a head start on your New Year's resolutions by hiking up a mountain or getting an extra bit of shut-eye from the night before, here’s to a great year ahead!
