York University's school of Engineering
The Lassonde School of Engineering was established as part of Toronto’s York University in November 2011. It is the home for ‘renaissance engineers,’ –well-rounded engineers with a social conscience. Pictured here is the newly functional Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence. This building was conceptualized by Gregory Woods and designed by a team of architects. Modelled after the ‘flip the classroom’ concept in an effort to engage students in active learning sessions.
