An assortment of Rakhis ahead of Raksha Bandhan
The Raksha-Bandhan literally means a bond of protection, and this of course is an Indian tradition dating back thousands of years. The tying of the sacred thread or Rakhi is a two-way protective bond where the sister prays for her brother’s safety and at the same time entrusts him with her potential care.
