Glorious Galicia

Misty and mild in contrast to the semi-arid interior, this section of Spain has a similar climate to Britain, New Zealand, or the Pacific Northwest. Though that means sunbathing isn't often on the bingo card in Galicia, the beach offers beautiful views of the jagged granite coastline and open Atlantic beyond. Indeed, watching the seas is something of an industry here: Galicia's coast boasts 44 lighthouses across its many inlets and islets.
