Hey there, neighbors

The hours between sunset and sunup are prime dining time for 3,000 of this residential area's denizens. So if you're lucky enough to live by this unique beach southeast of Cape Town, step out at twilight and see the neighbors. But you probably won't want to join them for a bite, unless whole raw fish is your fancy. That's right, African penguins and people practically live next door to each other here on the famed Boulders Beach. The arrangement is an exception made by these increasingly rare birds, most of which shun the mainland to breed on tiny islets along the South African and Namibian coasts. But the Boulders bunch seem content sticking around to delight tourists and locals alike.
