Tunnel vision
Nature carved these incredible features a million years ago, but what's maybe the best-known viewpoint in the US National Park System has only been easily reachable for less than a century. Yosemite's famous Tunnel View is named for the Wawona Tunnel, drilled in 1933, which opens behind us and leads through a mountain's base to the park's south entrance. Such easy access means you'll pretty much never be the only shutterbug clamoring for a snap here—but if ever a peak-packed panorama was worth queueing for, this is it.
