Peninsular paradise
When it comes to road tripping in this part of southern Thailand, the buck stops on the other side of that distant, rocky outcrop jutting into the sea. Thanks to those impassable crags, traffic here on the Railay Peninsula is limited to boats—usually scrappy long-tail boats hired from nearby cities. Though a bit hard to reach, Railay is beloved by beachgoers and enjoys a devoted following among rock climbers, so the peninsula is often abustle despite its isolation.
