Arizona snows

The North Rim is one of the only portions of Grand Canyon National Park that gets snow every winter. The snow causes the National Park Service to close the area during winter months, so few visitors get to see in person such incredible views as this. The rim saw an especially short season in 2025, when the Dragon Bravo Fire swept through the region and burned several historic structures, including the North Rim park headquarters. Today, visitors to the rim will witness a forest landscape in recovery as new life rises from the ashes.
