Snows of Scotland
Reflecting meringue clouds with the sugar-frosted Cairngorm Mountains as a backdrop, Loch Morlich is a sweet spot in this Scottish wilderness. During this time of year, Cairngorms National Park can feature some of the harshest winter weather in Britain, its high plateaus given to heavy snows and sudden weather shifts. While a few larger lochs lie among the park's distant peaks, Loch Morlich is especially popular for its easy access and broad shape, which make it a hotspot for watersports like windsurfing when weather permits.
