This beach is packed
Tucked between rugged hills and open ocean, this strip of South Australia beach is something of a local parkway. The hard-packed sand is suitable for driving, and pleasure cruises are a common pastime—though most folks just park their vehicles to enjoy the seaside for a spell. Four-wheel drive may be ideal here, but Sellicks has an especially rich history with two-wheelers, hosting its first motorcycle race as early as 1917 and later holding yearly time trials. This event stalled out by the mid-1950s, but recent revivals have seen dozens of vintage bikes make tracks on the beach.
