One high light

You can't tell at this zoom level, but we're looking at the tallest lighthouse in the United States. Standing over 200 feet from base to top and boasting a distinctive candy-stripe paint pattern, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse used to rise just a few paces from the beachy shores of the Outer Banks. But in 1999, it had to be relocated from the unstable sands. Now set 1,500 feet inland, this still-operational North Carolina icon is one of the tallest structures ever moved.
A desert defense
Not-so-straight and narrow
West Coast watchtower
Beacon of blue
Rhodes to ruins
A splendid Thai sky
Anybody home?
Quite the night light
