Llama lookout

Native to South America, llamas have been imported all over the world as loyal pack animals and a fine source of wool. Llamas are also living lawn mowers that graze vigorously to keep grasses tastefully trimmed. Useful? Sure, but these woolly wanderers can make mischief too. Near this spot in the French Pyrenees in 2016, a group of llamas 'hired' to help maintain campgrounds chose to keep warm by plopping down on a paved road—right in the path of the Tour de France. (Luckily, the contrarian camelids skedaddled before any cyclists arrived, preventing a pileup.)
