This pair flying over the Amazon rainforest in Brazil are blue-and-yellow macaws, a species of large parrot which inhabits the tropical forests of South America. They’re very popular as pets due to their striking colours, and also their ability to ‘talk’. They’re wonderful mimics, able to replicate the sound of human voices with impressive accuracy.
