All eyes on Westminster. There’s a dog in there somewhere
Komondors, also known as Hungarian sheepdogs, are known for their strong instinct to herd and protect livestock. They’re also known for their unusual coats. When left untrimmed, a komondor’s fur ‘cords’ up, creating the unusual, rope-like appearance seen here. The Komondor in this photo was competing at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, which occurs every February.
