A graceful exit after festivities. Final day of the Durga Puja Festival in Dhaka
Dusshera, or Vidyadasami is celebrated differently in different parts of the country. In the eastern states & Bangladesh, it marks the end of Durga pooja, in remembrance of the victory of Durga over demon Mahishasura. In other parts, it marks the end of Ramlila, and commemorates the victory of Ram over Ravan. In its essence, Dusshera marks the victory of good over evil in one form or the other. Either idols of Durga and other gods are given a farewell at the end of the festivities by water immersion, or idols of Ravan are burn with fireworks to signify the destruction of evil.
