Wetlands of Pantanal, Brazil
This time of the year in Brazil, the beginning of the dry season brings new colours and transforms the scenery in Pantanal. For the last six months, this conservation area located in the middle of South America remained almost entirely flooded due to heavy rainfall and geologic peculiarities. The region can be seen as a huge internal delta, with several rivers and water bodies merging to form the Paraná and Paraguay rivers basin making this the world’s largest tropical wetland.
