Inside an ice cave in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness
Three volcanic peaks in the Cascade Range are the central feature of the Three Sisters Wilderness region of central Oregon, where ice caves form below the glaciers in various parts of this vast mountainous acreage. Some hikers may miss the ice cave entrances completely, so an experienced guide might be just the thing if you’re interested in safely viewing these seasonal caverns and grottos. This time of year, prepare to get wet if you do.
