Trees covered in moss at Monk’s Dale in the Peak District, Derbyshire
You'd be forgiven for thinking this photo is from the middle of the jungle, but in fact it’s actually at the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire. Monk's Dale, close to Tideswell, is one of the quieter dales in the White Peak area due to more popular dales nearby and a challenging path, making walking difficult and dangerous in damp conditions. Hikers who are prepared to negotiate the slippery limestone underfoot will be surrounded by beautiful, natural woods coated with lush green mosses and lichens.
