Cinema aficionados, assemble. The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) gears up to dazzle with its 49th edition in Toronto, the city seen in today's image. Since its establishment in 1976, the TIFF has become one of the largest publicly attended film festivals in the world. The event draws a diverse tapestry of attendees, from seasoned directors to rising stars and eager cinephiles.
This year's festival, which rolls out the red carpet for filmmakers starting today and running through September 15, will be hosted in various venues across the city including the iconic TIFF Lightbox, the Royal Alexandra Theatre and Roy Thomson Hall. The opening night will kick off with David Gordon Green's 'Nutcrackers,' starring Ben Stiller. 'Shepherds,' an adaptation of the Canadian novel 'D’où viens tu, berger?' by Canadian director Sophie Deraspe and 'K-Pops!,' the directorial debut of American musician Anderson .Paak are also part of the vibrant lineup of world premieres. Lights, camera, action—another chapter of the Toronto International Film Festival is underway.
