The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride at the Calgary Stampede Rodeo in Calgary
Yee-haw! The annual Calgary Stampede is well underway in Alberta exhibiting western culture and heritage in full swing. This ten-day long celebration features stampede shows, musical concerts, agricultural showcases and a whole lot of food. Ever since the first stampede held in 1912, the Calgary Stampede has grown into one of the world’s richest rodeos and is credited for drawing large numbers of tourists to Calgary. While the parade serves as the official opening of the Stampede, the Rodeo is the most famous event and offers disciplines such as bull riding, bareback riding and steer wrestling.
