Today's image showcases Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, which is situated in the Pyrenees Mountain range of northeastern Spain. Established in 1918, this 156 square-kilometre park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a biosphere reserve. It was established to preserve the high mountain landscape of the surrounding region. Characterised by its rugged terrain, the area mainly has limestone formations and many other natural features including sinkholes, caves, high massifs, valleys, rivers and waterfalls. Visitors from all over the world come here to indulge in adventures like hiking, kayaking, overnight camping and much more!
