Its snowy peaks are reflected in the smooth mirror of the frozen lake, giving the impression of harmonious silence and tranquility—which might be interrupted by the soft crunch of the snow under the footsteps of hikers or travellers. Today, Southern Bavaria has become a well-known destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.
