Jiaxiu Tower, Guiyang, China
A stunning example of traditional Chinese architecture, Guiyang's Jiaxiu Tower is a tribute to the city's long history and enduring beauty. This famous building, also known as the First Scholar's Tower, has stood the test of time as a representation of Guiyang's rich cultural heritage for more than 400 years. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it has undergone numerous renovations but has managed to retain and maintain its original design.
The Jiaxiu Tower's charm lies not just in its historical importance but also in the beautiful location. The tower, which is perched on the tranquil Nanming River, reflects in the water, creating a truly mesmerising view, especially at dusk when its lights flicker and cast a magical glow.
