Dartmoor National Park, England
You can find this beautiful, sunlit landscape with its odd tower overlooking all within Dartmoor National Park, a reserved area located in the southwest of England. Despite its beauty, Meldon Hill isn't particularly well-known, although the park itself is a popular visitor destination. The park is famous for its rugged landscape, ancient history and wildlife. Here you’ll see granite 'tors', which are large rocky outcrops that dot the landscape. The region has been inhabited since ancient times and is rich in archaeological sites, including prehistoric stone circles and cairns, Bronze Age settlements and medieval ruins.
Additionally, this park is home to ponies, birds of prey and rare butterflies. It's also a great place for outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, horseback riding and fishing. You'll also find museums in the park, which provide information on the history, culture and ecology of the area.
