Sunlight turning silver to gold. Plaza Carso building, Museo Soumay, Mexico City, Mexico

Museums not only hold objects of great interest but can be fascinating on their own due to creative design. A great example of artistic museum architecture is the Plaza Carso building, located in Mexico City. Built by Carlos Slim Helu's Group Carso, the iconic Museo Soumaya is a private museum that showcases a collection of 60,000 art pieces from different periods and styles. The uniquely designed building is made up of sixteen thousand hexagonal aluminum plates that, in addition to looking amazing, also protect the artwork inside from intense sunlight.
