On the Slovenian side of the Julian Alps
The distant horizon is the Italian side of the Julian Alps. This photograph was taken on the Slovenian side. A sub-range of the Alps, the Julians form a natural border between the two nations. A significant portion of the Julian Alps is preserved within Slovenia’s Triglav National Park.
