Penguins are pretty amazing. From their social personalities to their impressive talent for swimming and diving, they’re a bird worth celebrating. So, good thing today is World Penguin Day! It’s the perfect time to learn more about these precious animals and appreciate their vast abilities and beauty. Adélie penguins migrate an average of 12,875 kilometres annually, as they follow the sun from their breeding colonies to winter foraging grounds and back again. These penguins are easy to recognize by the white ring around their eyes. Oh, and if you think you're chilly this winter, these birds thrive in temperatures as low as -29 degrees Celsius.
