It’s cherry blossom season once again, and that means it’s time for the Sakura Days Japan Fair in Vancouver. It’s held on the 15th and 16th of April, so get ready to experience the beauty of spring this weekend. The trees in today's image are located in Toronto and are a beautiful example of cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Cherry blossoms are called sakura in Japanese, and they play a vital role in the country's cultural heritage. When the flowers bloom every year, it’s time for Hanami, which means “flower viewing” in English. Cherry blossoms fall from their trees just two weeks after they appear, so be sure to experience their beauty while you can.
