Cleaning the elephant specimens at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, California
The dioramas in the Hall of African Mammals at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County need to be cleaned from time to time. Luckily, a photographer was there to get this shot of good old-fashioned elephant vacuuming. The dioramas are handcrafted by a team of artists who work to make every scene in the museum not just educational but realistic and dramatically compelling—a visual story of life in the wild.
