Info. Linn of Quoich
Today we're visiting the Scottish Highlands, where frothing waters crash through a narrow ravine at the Linn of Quoich waterfall, near the village of Braemar in Aberdeenshire. Centuries of erosion have created a circle in one of the rock shelves beside the river, which you can see in our photo. The water-carved rock formation is known locally as the 'Punch Bowl' as it was reputedly used by Earls as a punchbowl to celebrate a successful deer hunt.
