Up in the Canadian Rockies, Jasper National Park is jam-packed with breathtaking scenery—giving us photos like this shot of Sunwapta Falls. It would be a fine setting for a celebration of Canada Day today. It’s not exactly Canadian Independence Day--instead, it marks the passing of the Constitution Act of 1867, which was the first major step toward Canada’s sovereignty. Celebrations across Canada are as varied as the nation itself, and include parades, fireworks, and similar patriotic festivities. But perhaps some Canadians will venture out into the wilds of Jasper National Park today, and embrace the natural beauty it offers.
