Rugged peaks and crystalline lakes

Welcome to Tombstone Territorial Park, a destination for backcountry hiking, camping and wildlife viewing. This park boasts some 2,200 square kilometres of rugged peaks, craggy wilderness, and pristine crystalline lakes. Among the main trails here, Goldensides is one of the most popular and relatively easier to hike. Since Yukon gets several hours of daylight in the summer, this time of the year, campers pitch their tents to take in the magnificent vistas of granite peaks reaching up into the sky mixed with lush green valleys filled with rare flora and fauna. Wildlife lovers can also spot the Dall sheep, caribou, grizzly bears and several species of birds as well.
