Info. Buttermere in the Lake District, England
The sun is setting over the Lake District, England’s largest national park in the north-west corner of the country. The area is famous for its mountains, forests, and of course lakes. The lake in this image is called Buttermere, which means ‘the lake by the dairy pastures’. It’s one of the smaller lakes but offers some of the best views. There is a path that circles the lake for seven kilometres and takes a couple of hours to walk. The Lake District was made a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017 and attracts visitors from around the world, thanks to a beautiful landscape which sees the mountains mirrored in its lakes.
