What better way to ring in the new year than catching sunrise at Mt. Fuji? Located at a distance of 100 kilometres from Tokyo, Mt. Fuji is the country’s highest peak, standing 3,776 metres tall. It is an active volcano which last erupted in 1707. Worshipped by many, this popular site sits as a scared symbol, drawing thousands of pilgrims and tourists annually.
