Summer loving. Bronte Beach heats up
When we think of summer, there’s nothing more quintessentially Australian than the sand and surf. So to celebrate the return of the sunny season, we’re showcasing Bronte Beach – a hidden gem in Sydney’s east. The beach, perfectly nestled within a cosy cove, measures in at around 250m in length and is well-known by locals for its large waves. As a result, visitors to Bronte are likely to to stumble upon surfers attempting to tame the waters, but for those lacking in balance, there are plenty of nearby walking trails. The most popular, the Bronte to Bondi walk, is an almost 2.5-kilometre journey that provides a plethora of stunning coastal views, and leads you right into the country's most iconic beach.
