Welcome to the Cariboo Regional District (CRD). Located in B.C. Central Interior, this region is governed independently from the provincial government and is named after the woodland caribou which were once abundant here. The CRD has a population of about 60,000 residents and spans an area of 80,000 square kilometres. With abundant wildlife, scenic lakes, groves of aspen and a network of biking and hiking trails, this area draws adventure seekers all-year-round and rightfully so.
